Leatherhead Choral Society, conducted by their Musical Director Ian Assersohn, explores music inspired by folk song, including some rousing sea shanties, delightful melodies from around the British Isles, and culminating in a performance of Vaughan Williams' enchanting The Lark Ascending as a celebration of the composer's 150th anniversary.
The choir are joined by their regular pianist Gareth Giles and guest musician, violinist Emma Purslow.
After the concert the audience are invited to join the choir for a cream tea and cakes.

Greensleeves: All For Me Grog: The Wellerman: A Drop O' Nelson's Blood: John Rutter's folksong suite The Sprig of Thyme and Ralph Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending (arranged by Paul Drayton)
