This is a substantial setting of Matthew Arnold's famous Victorian poem "Dover Beach". The poem is full of vivid imagery, contrasts and unexpected turns and the music faithfully follows each twist and turn.
 
The work includes optional scoring for string quartet (in addition to the piano) - conductor's score and parts available on request.
